I was so fucking high I don't even remember that song, and I was in a lotta Starbucks that year on tour. (Not the Dead, they didn't tour in 08)
This post made me realiz that besides picking up that McCracken book, I've also picked up, maybe 12-15 other new craft books in as many weeks. It is definitely that time of they year. (Hide from the sun, the shootin' outside.)
I've also lost 22lbs in 24 days. Which is right about on schedule. (-.94-1.00 lbs a day, no kids, don't do this unless you're a professional.)
(If that's implying I'm a professional, it's because I am.)
once I'm to a point where I can stand to look at myself in the mirror again, I'll go live. So, maybe a month, but right now we're on the murder cut (only thing keeping lean muscle on is massive protein supplementation because I damn sure ain't hittin' the gym like I oughta, home or not.) I still say that Palahniuk's book will replace King's within fifteen years (watch., he even does the callback with that Stephen King story in it.) Mostly because at this point saying, "Read Stephen King's On Writing," is a lot like saying, "Read Bird by Bird by Lamott." NO SHIT?
Truby is always worth a read. Ruby did a book on the history of poetry written as a poem though which everyone should reead. And it costs sixty bucks but I think everyone should read "the Psychology of Creative Writing."
Thanks for checking out LEVERAGE, Vinny! I hope the novel delivers. It's a wild one, if nothing else.
thanks for reviewing my story !!!!
Thank you for writing and sharing it!

Need an Emil Reads Craft series. Give us the juicy bits from all that craft reading.

Solid review sir Vinny. I think Marcel was my favorite character.
Thanks, Trey. Shouldn’t have put yourself as the closer; gonna be a while before I get to yours. 😂
