This is the Friday Mood Boost, where I’ll share some recommendations, thoughts and general vibes while you slack off on a Friday afternoon.1

It’s WrestleMania weekend!
I am an unapologetic professional wrestling fan, but WWE programming alone is over 5 hours a week. I don’t have that kind of free time. However, when WrestleMania - the Super Bowl of pro wrestling - rolls around, I love to spend the weekend reveling in the spectacle.
A few years ago, I started a tradition called “FattyMania.2” This is one weekend a year (coinciding with WrestleMania) in which I allow indulge in whatever inner-childishness I want. Play video games; drink Mountain Dew; read comic books; eat candy and ice cream for every meal; watch professional wrestling… you get the picture.
I can’t recommend enough having a personal holiday of your own. Does yours need to include body slams and Reese’s Easter eggs? It should obviously, but you do you. Every adult deserves some time with their inner child.
One book-related story before we move into recs for the week.
‘Book brigade’: US town forms human chain to move 9,100 books one-by-one

I mean check that out. I feel like there’s so seldom actual good news out there, but this rules.
Unsolicited Recommendation(s) of the Week
I’m not going to break down the entire two-night spectacle, but it’s fun. You can flit in and out, they have video trailers for each match to catch you up on the story and it’s entertaining as all get-out if you can give yourself over to it. And it’s free on Peacock.
For any WWE fans, my guess is we’ll see CM Punk and John Cena come out victorious in the two main events, leading to Cena’s record 17th world title. Cena has threatened to leave WWE with the title. This all leads to a rematch of 2011 when Punk defeated Cena and promptly left with the title. That’s a full-circle story I don’t think WWE will pass up.
Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs.
God-tier candy. Best peanut butter-to-chocolate ratio of any of the seasonal Reese’s offerings.

Mood Board
That does it for another edition of the Friday Mood Boost.
I am not feeling particularly positive today, or really any other day in the past 3+ months. There is a certain bit of pointlessness to all of this. That said, joy and passion are two things they cannot steal from us, so better to celebrate them.
Fatphobic, I know. Sorry.
