Glad you gave it a chance, and completely agree with the statement of it being a triumph in both style and substance. That's what I strive for (which is why I always use that as a reference)
GOOD NEWS! There's no spoilers. The inline review is only for the very beginning of Tom's book, the epilogue.
I am an excruciatingly slow reader for numerous reasons so I haven't been able to read the whole book yet. But I'm psyched to jump in when i find the right combination of time, circumstance, and cognitive function. 😅
My copy arrived a day early! So, I'm going to try to triple-read Victim, Shieldbreaker and No Dogs in Philly since I think they're different enough from each other that I won't get confused... hopefully.
I'm honored to have caught your attention! Thank you for adding me to your stack among those giants!
Admittedly, I haven't yet read your "Wayback Machine" review because I'm reading the book myself right now and (as you say with Schecter's Shieldbreaker book—another upcoming read!) I don't want to spoil myself. But I've seen enough snippets from your "Wayback" review to know that you enjoyed it as much as I am!
Thanks again, Vinny. Your interest means a lot to me.
I don't know which part triggered these palpitations—"fave novel" or "read it twice back-to-back"—but this comment has rendered coffee obsolete for at least a month.
Yes!!

The Afro Samurai DVDs were the impulse buy of my life. Such a damn good show.
Also: Looking forward to the workshop 😁
I feel so lucky. 🤙
Dude, SAME!
these roundups are what take a lot of the hard work out of getting the best from the stack.
Thanks!
Thank you, Nick! Glad to hear they’re useful for something besides dumping my brain out.

Thanks, Zachary. I read the first couple chapters on your Stack and was like "yeah, I can get down with this." 🙂

Glad you’re down!
Now the question is… how low can you go?
Depends on how much I've had to drink when I last m-- oh! You meant in reading the book. I guess we'll find out.
